Youth Leadership & Community Service Initiative
The Legacy Project empowers youth to become compassionate leaders through service, character development, and meaningful community involvement. By engaging students in hands-on service projects and leadership experiences, Foundations of Love helps young people build confidence, develop responsibility, and discover that leadership is demonstrated by serving others.
Program Impact
The Legacy Project helps youth develop confidence, leadership, teamwork, compassion, and a lifelong commitment to community service. Through meaningful experiences and positive role models, students discover that even small acts of kindness can create lasting change for individuals, schools, and communities.
Program Experiences
Legacy Builders (Grades 4–6)
Legacy Builders introduces elementary students to leadership through age-appropriate lessons, hands-on community service projects, character development, and enrichment activities. Students learn the importance of kindness, teamwork, responsibility, gratitude, and giving back while building a strong foundation for future leadership.
Legacy Leaders (Grades 7–12)
Legacy Leaders builds on that foundation by helping middle and high school students develop leadership skills through mentorship, service-learning, volunteer opportunities, and community engagement. Students take on greater responsibility by organizing projects, mentoring younger participants, and serving as positive role models in their schools and communities.
A Leadership Pipeline
The Legacy Project is designed to grow with young people. As Legacy Builders advance into middle and high school, they become Legacy Leaders who return to mentor and encourage the next generation. Through our partnership with Beyond the Field, student-athletes also volunteer alongside Legacy Leaders, helping elementary students complete service projects, participate in enrichment activities, and discover the value of leadership through service.
